What equipment do I need to join?

To take part in IID’s EnergyFlex program with a smart thermostat, you must have a Wi-Fi enabled smart thermostat that’s connected to central AC or an electric heat pump. Eligible thermostats are listed here:

 

Google Nest

• Google Nest Thermostat
• Google Nest Learning Thermostat (Gen3+)
• Nest Thermostat E

If you don’t have a qualifying smart thermostat connected to eligible cooling equipment, no problem! You’re still eligible to participate in EnergyFlex by consciously reducing your energy use during FlexHours events.
